A team of Langpangkong Students’ Conference (LKM) conducted a four-day tour of Government Middle Schools, Government High Schools and Government Higher Secondary Schools within its jurisdiction.
In a press release, LKM said the team visited 24 government schools and interacted with teachers and students. The team encouraged the teachers and students to share their grievances to LKM, and assured to take it up to “higher authority”.
During the visit, LKM said most of the schools had no headmasters, assistant headmaster, subject teachers, and adequate class rooms for the students. It said the roads leading to the schools were also in deplorable condition causing immense problems to the students.
With the implementation of Nagaland education project (NEP)- “The Light House (NECTAR) and community help, LKM expressed hope that the schools would see some progress.
