Linguistics Minority Forum of Nagaland (LMFN) has strongly condemned the October 17 incident at Burma Camp traffic point, where a street vendor from a minority community was reportedly assaulted and his food cart damaged.
In a press release, LMFN termed the act as intolerable and unacceptable in a just society, stating that violence against honest and hardworking citizens must be denounced by all.
The Forum appreciated the swift and effective action of Dimapur Police in apprehending the culprits, noting that their prompt response reflected professionalism and commitment to maintaining public order.
LMFN also acknowledged the support extended by local area heads to the victim and called upon all citizens to uphold peace, mutual respect, and communal harmony.
It further emphasized that disputes must be resolved through dialogue and lawful means, and urged every community to stand united in building a society rooted in dignity, justice, and brotherhood.
