Load despatch centre inaugurated in Dmu

State load despatch centre (SLDC), which would monitor and control power flow throughout the state, was inaugurated at power house, Nagarjan (Kuda village) here Monday.

SLDC, which was formally inaugurated today by engineer-in-chief, Er Shikato Sema, would ensure the integrated grid operations and achieving the maximum economy and efficiency in the operation of power system in the state.

The load despatch centre would be responsible for carrying real time operations for grid control and despatch of electricity within the state through secure and economic operation in the state grid in accordance with the grid standards and the state grid code.

Speaking the formal inauguration programme, Er. Shikato Sema congratulated the team led by Er Nitovi A. Wotsa, superintending engineer (E) & SLDC head. He said that load despatch centre would prove to be very challenging and interesting at the same time. 

Earlier, in his technical report, superintending engineer (transmission), Er. Tiameren Walling explained that the load despatch centre would be responsible for optimum scheduling and despatch of electricity within the state in accordance with the contracts entered into with the licensees or the generating companies operating in the state.

The chief engineer (T&G), Er. N. Mozhui also spoke at the programme, which was chaired by additional chief engineer (T&G). The programme began with invocation by Neikolie Nagi, Pastor, Kuda Baptist Church while superintending engineer (E), Nitovi A. Wotsa proposed the vote of thanks.
