Funded by community and well-wishers, residents of Pump house, Salangtem ward are carrying out repairing and black topping of a road stretch leading to Dilong ward, Mokokchung town.
Speaking to Nagaland Post, one of the residents, who has been assisting in road repair works, stated that the road works would be carried out a few meters beyond their ward into Dilong ward, which was approximately 200.11 metre.
A resident and a daily wage earner, Aokumzuk Imchen, while speaking to Nagaland Post, said that it was noble of the leaders in-charge of the road repair works because no compulsory contribution was demanded from households.
Imchen also said that he was glad to have voluntarily offered his time to assist in the road repair works.
