Lockdown curbs relaxed in Dimapur

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dimapur has informed that the existing lockdown measurers would continue to remain in force in Dimapur district with the additional relaxations and directives with effect from October 1-31, 2021.

In an order, DC Dimapur Rajesh Soundararajan stated that all shops/ business establishments dealing with all kinds of goods/items/articles have been permitted to remain open on all the days from 6am till 9pm.
DC also informed that night curfew has been relaxed by one more hour and it would be now from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.
Further, DC informed that resumption of conduct of regular/offline classes for students of all the classes in the schools in the district would be permitted from November 1, 2021 if the COVID-19 situation remains under control, and continues to further improve and subject to adherence to SOPs to be issued by the Home Department.
DC cautioned that any person violating the order would be penalized as per the provisions of Section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act 2005 besides legal action under Section 188 of the IPC.
