Longjem Society to host ‘Tsungremmong Saalak’

Commemorating the celebration of Tsungremmong Festival, Longjem Society, a Dimapur based NGO, is set to host “Tsungremmong Saalak”, at Urban Haat, Dimapur on August 1.
Addressing a press conference at Ao Students Union Commercial Building, Dimapur, event manager, Sentimeren Pongen, informed that “Tsungremmong Saalak” was organised with the aim to provide opportunity and platform for young and talented upcoming artistes from different entertainment industries, and with a vision to preserve and showcase the unique traditional identity to younger generation and celebrate friendship, togetherness and unity in diversity. He stated that list of performing artistes includes Sunep Lemtur, Dreams Unlimited, Tiameren Aier, Chubatsur Jamir, Lenen Jamir and MJ Jamir.
He informed that the society was organised to promote and preserve cultural ethnicity, and also to help those from the weaker section.
Pongen invited all citizens of Dimapur to participate and enjoy the event, which would feature music, entertainment and a variety of food representing the festival’s beauty. The event ticket is Rs. 200 per person and one lucky person would receive surprising gifts, as part of the festival from serial number of the ticket.
