Longkhim SDPDB clears LADP proposals

DIMAPUR

The monthly meeting of Sub-Divisional Planning and Development Board (SDPDB) Longkhim was held on June 30 at DUDA Hall, Longkhim, under the chairmanship of ADC and SDPDB vice chairman, Anoka H. Assumi.
According to a DIPR report, the meeting began with a welcome note, followed by introductions of new members and a review of the previous meeting’s minutes.
During the meeting, the board approved several key proposals for submission to the government. This included the Local Area Development Programme (LADP) and Common Pool Scheme for 2025–26 for the 52 A/C Longkhim-Chare constituency. The house also approved a proposal seeking annual funds to manage emergency repairs of government infrastructure and to respond quickly to natural calamities.
The board gave its nod to the construction of a pucca toilet at the IRP Quarter (Lodgement) at Longkhim, to be undertaken by the PHED under the AMRUT Scheme. A recommendation was also made to register the Anadong Progressive Society of Tsadang Village under Chare Circle.
In addition, the board discussed and recommended the need to post a regular SDO or JE (Housing) at Longkhim to address pressing departmental issues in the area.
