Longleng District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Longleng, M. Shayung Phom on December 6 at the Conference Hall of DC Longleng.
According to DIPR report, the house decided to recommend the proposal submitted by the PPC for up-gradation of Government Middle School Tamlu to Government High School and EAC Yongnyah to SDO (Civil), creation of RD Block and CDPO office at Yongnyah.
The members also deliberated on regular NST bus service from Longleng to Kohima-Dimapur and establishment of detoxification centre at District Hospital.
Up-gradation of present Post office, Longleng to Post Master status and proper traffic management of Longleng town was also discussed during the meeting.
The house also observed a minute silence in honour of late Dr. Wannau Phom, medical officer, Longleng.
