Longleng police conduct training for DEF personnel

DIMAPUR: The Superintendent of Police (SP) office, Longleng organized a one-day training session on May 26, for the District Executive Force (DEF), focused on “Procedures to Handle Criminal Cases.”
Government Pleader cum Assistant Public Prosecutor, Longleng, H. Donyei Phom served as the primary resource person. His session provided valuable insights into the key procedural aspects of criminal law enforcement, including the Filing of First Information Reports (FIR), the Investigation Process, and proper Arrest Procedures.
Phom also discussed the Seizure of Evidence, emphasizing the importance of maintaining legal integrity, and explored the steps for effective Prosecution of Accused and securing Prosecution Sanction.
The training was designed to improve the DEF personnel’s understanding of legal protocols, ensuring thorough, legally sound investigations and adherence to human rights during police operations.
The training initiative underscores the Longleng SP office’s commitment to continuous professional development for its force, aiming to enhance efficiency and adherence to due process in handling criminal cases within the district.
