Longleng public cautioned

Following an increase in theft cases within Longleng Town and nearby areas, authorities have issued a warning to residents and advised them to exercise caution and vigilance when purchasing items from unfamiliar shops or unknown individuals. According to a DIPR report, authorities have asked public to promptly report any suspicious activity to the police. It has warned that individuals deliberately involved in the purchase, sale, or disposal of stolen items would face legal consequences under Section 411 of the Indian Penal Code 1860, including potential imprisonment of up to three years, fines, or both.
