Longzang sub-centre inaugurated

New sub-centre at Longzang village, under Mon district was inaugurated by the chief medical officer (CMO), Mon on May 29. 

A press release from CMO media cell stated that, president NDPP 44 A/C, Chinge requested the responsible department to provide facility required by the centre. 

DTO, Dr. Tinenlo, requested the village leaders and general public to have sense of ownership and work for betterment of the sub-centre, which in turn would lead to higher chances of upgradation of the sub-centre.

District programme manager (DPM), NHM, Bonnie Konyak, also stated that government was focusing more on preventive measures at the sub-centre level. 

Performance of the sub centre will wholly depend on the increase rate of fully immunized children, number of complete Antenatal Checkup (ANC), Village Health Nutrition Day (VHND) and family planning, she added. 

Dr. Sophie pointed out that district human resource committee (DHRC) has appointed a nurse for the new sub-centre to make the centre functional until new staff were appointed. 

The programme was chaired by Ngamlo Konyak, invocation by pastor Y Pemeth and welcome speech by VC chairman, Lohwang.
