DIMAPUR: Lotha Baptist Khumshum (Fellowship), Chokayan Village, organised the installation service of a full time Pastor and Associate Pastor, marking a significant milestone in the journey of the fellowship and church on August 23, 2026. The occasion brought renewed hope and encouragement to the congregation as it entered a new phase of pastoral ministry.
The programme was chaired by Dr. Suntsuthung Lotha, finance secretary, Lotha Baptist Churches Association (LBCA), and attended by church members, leaders, well wishers and representatives from the Lotha Baptist community. The service began with invocation by Rev. Wojanthung Lotha of Lotha Baptist Church Diphupar ‘B’ seeking God’s presence and blessings upon the ministry.
Installation service was conducted by Rev. Dr. Renbi Rangthang, executive secretary, LBCA, who offered special prayers for Myingthungo Shitiri, declared as licensed Pastor after serving in five villages under LBCA. Nzanbemo Ngullie, who had served as pastor in charge for over 10 years, was installed as full time associate pastor. Both pledged full commitment to soul winning and shepherding the congregation of Chokayan Village and the wider Lotha community.
Delivering the message, Dr. Chenijan Patton, Youth Secretary, LBCA, spoke from 1 Peter 3:8-15, urging the congregation to live in unity, compassion and humility, while standing firm in faith amidst challenges. He emphasised Christian conduct and encouraged the newly installed pastors and congregation to be faithful witnesses of Christ in the community.
