A forum by the nomenclature of Lotha Lower Range Elders & Officers’ Forum (LLREOF) was officially launched on September 24 with five member team as its office bearers led by M.Yanthan IAS Rtd. As convenor, K. Libanthung Lotha as co-convenor, K. Libanthung Patton as secretary, Jacob Yanthan as jt. secretary and Dr. Alex Kithan as treasurer.
Informing this in a press note, convenor LLREOF M.Yanthan IAS Rtd and secretary K. Libanthung Patton said a joint consultative meeting between LLREOF and Lotha Lower Range Public Organisation (LLRPO) was also held in presence of representative from LSU, LLRSU, Lotha Lower Range GB’s association, land owners Unions of Changpang and Old Tssori at Lotha Hoho Ki, Dimapur.
The forum stated that it has been a long felt needs and aspirations of the public to have a forum of such status and stature. On its role and functions, Lotha Lower Range Elders & Officers’ Forum informed it would “deliver a parenting services and guidance to the sister organisations and unions in the entire range, at the same time, strive to maintain peaceful co-existence, amble relations, co- ordination and understanding with all unions and organisations including the Lotha Hoho.” Also, keeping in view of the range being situated along the volatile inter-state border, the forum expressed optimism of exerting services and pressure across the border in case of exigencies and exasperation or as and when deemed fit.
