Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have assured that the supply of domestic LPG cylinders as well as petroleum products across Nagaland remained fully normal and stable.
Addressing a press conference at the DIPR conference hall, New Capital Complex, here on Tuesday, IOCL Nagaland state level coordinator, Himakshi Saikia, stated that adequate stocks of both LPG and fuel were available in the state.
She informed that petrol, diesel, and LPG supply was stable with uninterrupted availability being maintained through strong infrastructure and close coordination with the state government.
On current stock position, she said Nagaland has 250 retail outlets (238 OMC + 12 private) and two operational depots. State level coordinator informed that daily supply averages 280 KL of petrol and 640 KL of diesel, adding that current stocks were sufficient for six days of petrol and 16 days of diesel. She reiterated that all retail outlets were functioning normally with no restrictions on sales.
On the LPG front, she said over 4.20 lakh consumers were being served through 84 distributors and one bottling plant. Saikia stated that distributors have adequate stocks and no dry-outs have been reported.
She added that average daily refills stood at 6,258, with a backlog of around 3.08 days being cleared.
Saikia also highlighted that digitization of LPG services has improved significantly, with 80.6% of bookings now done digitally.
Consumers have been urged to book cylinders online and provide the delivery authentication code (DAC) for transparent delivery.
She further informed that 5kg LPG cylinders were being made available for students, migrant workers, and low-consumption households.
Saikia said that commercial LPG supply was maintained at 70% as per central government guidelines, with priority given to essential services.
She said OMCs, in coordination with the state government, have conducted 79 inspections since last month to check hoarding and illegal diversion.
Show-cause notices have been issued to seven LPG distributors for non-compliance.
The companies appealed to the public not to believe rumours, avoid panic buying, and refrain from spreading misinformation. They assured that the supply chain remains stable, well-managed, and uninterrupted.
