LPG pilfering ‘very serious crime’: NVCO

Nagaland Voluntary Consumers’ Organisation (NVCO) has termed as “a very serious crime and an insult to the consumers of state capital” the pilfering of LPG cooking gas in Kohima.

In a press release, NVCO media cell questioned the state government as to why many malpractices in trade were happening in Nagaland to the extent where it was “never a practice in other states/cities in the country”?

It appealed to the state government to intervene and take up the case seriously.

Lauding consumers of officers’ hill colony Kohima for detecting water filled cylinders, NVCO urged the responsible agency to thoroughly investigate the crime.

It maintained that the “even service provider as well as the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) should not remain silent but to be acted upon own responsibilities.”

While appealing to the consumers of other districts to remain as a “watch dog”, NVCO urged the public to avail the state consumer helpline toll free number 1800 – 345 – 3701.
