Little Star Higher Secondary School (LSHSS) Dimapur organised fresher’s day welcoming Class 11 students on June 26, with Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) administrator, Kethosituo Sekhose as the chief guest.
In his speech, the chief guest appraised the performances and expressed delight at the way the school had grown from a two room school. Encouraging the students, Kethosituo said they would face struggles in life but if they (students) learn how to say right things at the right time then God would help them to overcome their struggles.
Earlier, invocation prayer was pronounced by school chaplain, P.V. Francis, welcome address was delivered by school principal, Christina Neikhrienuo.
The programme followed crowing of Miss Fresher’s which was judged by entrepreneur, proprietor of Bambusa chain of restaurants, Medo Putsure, entrepreneur, proprietor of Kats Collection, wedding dresses and accessories chain, Visi Rio, singer and artist Mengu Suokhrie, NIAPA coordinator Therila Thonger and star kids coordinator Moala Vihutuo.
Masophy of Class 11 (C) was declared Miss Freshers while Mhajani and Kevinu Kechu of Class 11 secured the first and second runners up positions respectively.
Other highlights include lively performances by Class 12 students, middle school and high school students and performance of stick drama on the resurrection of Jesus Christ by Class 9 students.
