LSHSS wins ‘Nagaland State Level Science Drama Competition’

The Nagaland State Level Science Drama Competition (SLSDC) was held at Innovation Hub-Nagaland Science Centre, Dimapur on Friday, on the theme “Science & Technology for the Benefit of mankind”.


According to press statement by junior mentor, department of Science & Technology, Er. V. Zhale, Little Star Hr. Sec. School, Dimapur bagged the first prize of Nagaland SLSDC-2023. The school shall be representing the state at the zonal level, the “North-East Zone Science Drama Competition” which is set to be held on November 24, at Regional Science Centre, Guwahati. The event was graced by artistic director of Hill Theatre, Nagaland, alumni of National School of Drama, New Delhi, Bendang Walling, as the special guest and chief judge.


Science Drama Competition is an annual event which is organised across the country with a primary aim to showcase juvenile artistic creativity and to use the medium of drama as a potent tool for dealing with socio-scientific issues of current importance in the society. The Competition begins at the State Level, followed by the Regional level and ultimately culminates at the National Level i.e. The National Science Drama Festival (NSDF) which is organised and managed by the National Council of Science Museums. The Nagaland SLSDC has been sponsored and organised by the Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of Nagaland.
