LSU appeals for maintaining neglected road

Nuiland to Kohima notified area council (NAC) landslide areas stretching 11 kilometers (PWD 32-42 km) was voluntarily cleared by H. Swu kilonser GPRN/NSCN of Khohovi village and Ruchuseng Khing of Logwesunyu village with private machinery. 

A press release by Logwesunyu Students’ Union (LSU) president Kvuchulo Khing and general secretary Cheno Bukh stated that, the road has been neglected by the government since 2002, making the nearby villages to suffer the whole season and even affect the women folks for their daily market to Kohima and Niuland. 

LSU stated that, the road was being maintained by the individuals and village councils with the help of private contractors. Union therefore appealed the government to look upon the mentioned neglected road for the best interest of the suffering public.
