LSU elects new office bearers for 2026–2029

Correspondent WOKHA, MAR 13 (NPN):

The Lotha Students’ Union (LSU) conducted its election of new office bearers for the tenure 2026–2029 on March 13 at Lotha Hoho Ki. The results were declared by the election commission headed by Nonghothung Yanthan as election commissioner, with Vungathung Murry and Yanthanthung Yanthan as members. Zubenthung Ngullie was elected president, Longshitung Yanthan as assistant general secretary and C. Zuchamo Ngullie was elected secretary for debating and symposium. Lijano R. Ezung, Rose Patton and Chumbeni Humtsoe were elected as women coordinators. Meanwhile, the following office bearers were elected unopposed: N. Chibenthung Kikon – vice president; Nyanthung M. Khuvung – general secretary; Lanchio Ovung – finance secretary; Rhonbemo Murry – Education & Statistical Secretary; Renchithung Kithan – Games and Sports Secretary; Lumjamo M. Odyuo – Social and Cultural Secretary; Lichithung Murry – Information and Publicity Secretary; Mhonbemo Kikon – Magazine Secretary and L. Thunga Kithan – Speaker, Union Assembly. The newly elected team will serve the Union for the period 2026–2029.
