Lürhü Krotho celebrates Siikriinye festival

Lürhü Krotho in association with Western Chakhesang Hoho celebrated Siikriinye festival 2023 through music and fashion show on January 14 at Naga United Village, Chümoukedima.
Hekani Jakhalu, founder Youthnet graced the event as special guest. Speaking on the occasion, Jakhalu stressed on the need to celebrate, promote and “revive our identity, our rich culture, our tradition and customs practiced by our forefathers.”
She shared her experience of YouthNet, working with young people for the past 17 years, where only hard-working people have become successful.
She encouraged the youth to focus on excelling in whatever area they choose to follow and keep upgrading their skills.
Jakhalu also committed to work with Western Chakhesang Hoho on various areas of youth development.
Pusazo Luruo, advisor Western Chakhesang Hoho spoke on the significance of Sükrünye festival.
The objective of the event was to promote tradition and culture through fashion and music.
Various artists and fashion designers joined the celebration while Chakhesang Women Welfare Society displayed the original traditional attire of the Chakhesang community.
Various renowned artists including Kekhrie Ringa, Jano Nyekha, Colored Keys and others performed at the event.
