LVC declares clean election campaign

As an ultimate outcome of the several rounds of hectic meetings in the past few months, the Longkhitpeh Village Council (LVC), Church and the general public in a joint meeting held on August 24 has unanimously declared to adhere clean election campaign resolutions set forth by NBCC and fully support USBLA clean election committee resolutions.
In a press release, chairman LVC, Rangkha Sangtam stated that council appealed to all the general public to commit themselves in following the resolutions adopted and elect the rightful candidate. 
The five resolutions taken up by the council are: shall practice “nne man, one vote; shall not use intoxicants drugs & liquor; shall abstain from selling & buying votes; shall allow only one common platform for all the political parties and shall not allow campaign in both individual and public places.
It may be mentioned that, Longkhitpeh village falls under Longkhim – Chare administrative jurisdiction of Tuensang district and the church is a constituent member church of the United Sangtam Baptist Churches Association (USBLA).
