LVC submits memorandum to Dr. Vardhan

Longwa Village Council (LVC) on Thursday submitted a memorandum to Union minister for Health, Science & Technology and Earth Sciences, Dr. Harsh Vardhan during his visit to Longwa along with his Mrs. Nuton Goel.

LVC chairman C. Noklem and secretary Longhi highlighted about the need for advanced medical facilities in the village and in the entire sub-division of Phomching.

Despite the fact of having better facilities at the district hospital, LVC said that the Health and Wellness Centre in Longwa village benefits not only the residents of the village but also the people from neighboring villages and even from across the border for medical assistance.

They also said that the financial status, poor road conditions and transportation problems has made it difficult for the poor farmers to avail medical facilities at urban areas.  In this regard, LVC urged both the Health ministry of the state and the Centre to address the issue and initiate necessary methods to improve the facilities and even upgrade the health centers.

LVC expressed gratitude to Health minister, S. Pangnyu Phom, adviser IPR, SCERT & VG, Toshi Wungtung  and adviser Fire & Emergency Services, SIRD, Relief & Rehabilitation, Pohwang Konyak and others for visiting the village.
