Condemning the incident, Lake View Colony Youth Organization (LVCYO) said that the victim, Nungsangmanen of Yaongyimsen was kidnapped from his home on December 31 morning. He was blindfolded and taken away to a jungle by unknown hoodlums and tortured mentally and physically without any valid reason, LVCYO stated. The victim was released on December 31 night.
LVCYO said that the “malicious intent and deed of the hoodlums has shocked the colony youths and expresses utmost contempt”.
Warning that the youths would not allow such activities in the colony, LVCYO said it would take all measures to bring the culprit(s) to book.
