WOKHA, MAY 29 (NPN): Continuing its campaign against drug peddling in Wokha district, the Lotha Youth Hoho (LYH) has directed one accused drug peddler to leave the district for five years.
LYH informed that an individual identified as one Chenithung was apprehended by Tsumang Youth Organisation on May 28, 2026 for allegedly smuggling drugs from Merapani.
After holding a meeting at LYH office on May 29, 202s, the youth body stated that the accused was ordered to leave Wokha district by June 3, 2026 for a period of five years.
The youth organisation also advised two drug users apprehended during the operation to undergo rehabilitation at the earliest. LYH has warned all drug peddlers to stop their illegal activities voluntarily, cautioning that those caught would face strict action.
Meanwhile, LYH has appreciated the proactive role played by the Tsumang colony youth organisation and encouraged all colony youth organisations at Wokha town to carry out similar initiatives.
The youth body has assured to extend full support to community-based efforts towards making Wokha drug-free.
