WOKHA, JUN 22 (NPN): In its continued drive against the growing menace of drugs, the Lotha Youth Hoho (LYH) has barred two individuals from entering Wokha district for a period of five years over their alleged involvement in drug peddling.
According to LYH, a joint checking exercise was carried out in collaboration with the Tsumang Youth Organisation and Blue Hill Youth Organisation, during which two persons, identified as Nzanthung and Zuthunglo, were allegedly caught selling sunflower drugs.
Following the operation, the duo was summoned for a discussion on June 22, after which they were directed to leave Wokha district and prohibited from re entering for the next five years.
Reaffirming its commitment to building a drug free society, LYH expressed gratitude to civil society organisations for their continued cooperation and support in the anti drug campaign. It also appealed to the public to actively support its efforts by reporting information related to drug peddling and substance abuse, stressing that collective action is essential to tackle the menace.
