Reiterating its standing order, Lhisemia Youth Organisation (LYO) has said that under its jurisdiction (L Khel) particularly from Youth Resources & Sports junction (near DBS Kohima) to Assembly Complex via Kohima College and along New Secretariat road upto Working Women Hostel Sanuorü, “non-Nagas are prohibited from running any business establishment”.
In a press note, LYO president, Kethosituo Mepfhüo and general secretary Thepfuvizo Vizo cautioned that failure to comply with the order, the community would initiate disciplinary action. LYO task force would be carrying out verification drives, it said.
Further, existing local business owners have been advised “to employ Naga youths as helpers, waiters, sales assistants, managers etc”.
LYO has also cautioned business owners that sale of alcohol within the said jurisdiction is prohibited and violators caught by task force volunteers would be severely dealt with.
