LYY Nagaland runway show highlights emerging talent

The LYY Nagaland Runway Show was held on February 7 at the State Stadium, Dimapur, with the aim of promoting emerging fashion designers, jewellery designers, makeup artists, and handloom weavers. This year, six fashion designers participated alongside two handloom weavers, marking the first time weavers were invited to showcase their collections. The featured weavers were The Perfect Weaves and Yeto’s Twill. The event was graced by Ethnic Group of Nagaland, President, D. Ledia Awomi, as the special guest.

The event was organized by LYY Institute of Fashion Designing and Tailoring, Dimapur, Founder, Lopilo Yanthan Yeputho.

Showstoppers included Christina Yeptho (Miss Dimapur 2025), Genesis Aye (Miss Dimapur 1st Runner-up), Tshoteu Khutso (Miss Dimapur 2nd Runner-up), and Hikali Achumi (Miss Nagaland 2022). Makeup artistry was provided by Ale Khing, Rach Konyak, andAvitoli.

The event was hosted by Loreni Patton, with official photography Abeto Shohe, and performances by artist Nentong Konyak and DJ Ronald. The show does not charge registration fees, offering upcoming fashion designers a free platform to showcase their talent.
