Maihpok village under Kiphire district established in 2009 was officially inaugurated by Torechu MLA on November 14.
Speaking at the inaugural program, Torechu encouraged the citizens of Maihpok to cooperate with the parent village, Anatongre in all the developmental activities. He also visited Dongkhin.
Maihpok, one of the two settlement places of Tikhir tribe is 24 kms away from Kiphire.
VCC Anatongre, Tsulemthong delivered the welcome address. Short speeches were delivered by the head GB Anatongre, VCC Nutsü village, head GB Sekiu ‘A’ village, president TTUK and caretaker VCC Maihpok, Lesemong.
