Maintain cordial relationship with others:Pangteang

Parliamentary secretary of sericulture, civil defense and home guard, E.E Pangteang asked the Konyak tribe to maintain cordial relationship with other communities and hohos.
Addressing at the Konyak Union Kohima (KUK) 28th general meeting at CANSSEA conference hall, Monday, Pangteang lauded the office bearers for shouldering the responsibilities of the Konyak community living in the state capital.
He also opined that KUK must have consultations with the parent body Konyak Union and ENPO when any major issue arose.
Further he pointed out that language being the main identity for any tribe, Pangteang insisted that every Konyak individual should learn the common language of the Konyak.  
Pangteang reminded the office bearers’ about their responsibilities and advised them to abstain from usage of intoxicant and also urged the government servants to be sincere in performing their duties saying “government job is God’s job”.
Parliamentary secretary for agriculture, Y.M. Yollow said that reformation within the Konyak community should begin from KUK and reminded the initiative of KNSK against the Liquor Prohibition Act 1989. 
He urged to continue its support and also to strive to do away with corruption.
Expressing concern over education within the community, Yollow asked the gathering to give priority in educational sector as education was the only agent that could change the world.
Meanwhile a new team of office bearers was inducted for the term 2017-19.
The new team is led by Dr. Phola as president, Khongjah as general secretary, S.A Engo as finance secretary, B.Tingshem as advisor and three other members.
