Mairidin secures win at Immortal Fighting C’ship

Mairidin Newmai, representing The Combat Academy Nagaland (TCA Nagaland) and Kaizen MMA, competed at the recently concluded Immortal Fighting Championship held at Koramangala Indoor Stadium, Bengaluru, on April 18.
Entering the bout with a professional record of 4 wins and 1 loss, Newmai faced Tribhuvan Issar, a grappling specialist from Dehradun holding a record of 3 wins, 3 losses, and 1 draw, in the bantamweight division. Demonstrating composure and striking precision, Newmai secured a dominant victory via a Unanimous Decision after a grueling three rounds. In a show of respect and brotherhood, Mairidin also offered his traditional Naga Zeliang shawl to Tribhuvan after their fight.
Having trained at both The Combat Academy Nagaland and Kaizen MMA, Bengaluru, Newmai continues to showcase his elite skill set inside the cage. Currently under contract with Matrix Fight Night, one of India’s premier MMA promotions, he has once again proven why he stands among the most prominent mixed martial artists in the country.
With this impressive win, Mairidin Newmai further solidifies his position as a formidable force in India’s bantamweight division.
