Youth organisation of 7th Mile Model village Dimapur Saturday said that a man who allegedly attempted to commit sodomy on a 16-year-old boy has been expelled from the village.
In a press release, 7th Mile Model village youth organisation president, Keneiletuo Zumvü, and secretary, Kevechulo Koza, said that the accused identified as one Nasim Amibdin (43) from Bihar, resided at 7th Mile Model Village doing some business.
The organisation stated that on June 25 last the boy was returning home alone after participating in the social work organised by them when the accused way laid him and dragged him to the room.
The accused allegedly locked the room from inside and made the boy sit on the chair first and later took him to bed forcefully. The accused also allegedly touched the boy inappropriately after physically overcoming him. The organisation alleged the accused had an intention to commit sodomy. Later, the accused let the boy go while offering him Rs 100 and asked him to come after 8:30 am the next day when he will be alone as his children would have gone to school then.
The organisation said when the boy rushed home and told his mother what had happened, she reported the matter to GB of the village. Thereafter, on interrogation the accused admitted to molesting the boy with the intention to commit sodomy, the organisation claimed.
Further, the organisation claimed that in December 2016 also the accused had molested a 13-year-old by while he was asleep with an intension to commit sodomy.
After verifying properly from the two victims and confession of the accused, the organization said it imposed fine on the accused and after consultation with the village council, expelled him from the village and its jurisdiction with effect from June 25, 2018. However, it said his family members were not expelled on humanitarian ground considering the school-going children.
The organisation cautioned that harbouring such people with very low moral character despite being a family man was very risky and should be very careful.
