Man allegedly kills wife in Dimapur

In a shocking incident, a man allegedly killed his wife under the influence of alcohol after an altercation at Rengma Colony here in the early hours of Friday.
According to sources, the accused attacked his wife multiple times on the head with a dao leading to her death on the spot. The accused was apprehended and placed under judicial custody. Police were yet to release an official statement regarding incident, but sources confirmed that the matter was being treated as a case of homicide under the influence of alcohol. Body of the slain wife was handed over the family members after post-mortem was conducted at District Hospital Dimapur. (Staff Reporter)
