Man found dead in suspected suicide case in Wokha

WOKHA, JUN 25 (NPN): A 30-year-old man identified as Nzanthung Kikon was found dead in an apparent case of suicide at a rented house near the fishery area at Tsumang A, Wokha, on Thursday. Additional Superintendent of Police (Addl. SP) Wokha, Biren Lotha, informed that police received a report of the incident around 1:50 p.m. and immediately rushed to the scene to initiate necessary legal procedures. According to police, the deceased was discovered hanging inside the rented accommodation where he had been residing. Authorities confirmed that no foul play was suspected in connection with the death, though the exact reason behind the incident remains unclear.
The family declined to conduct a post-mortem examination. Following completion of formalities, the body was handed over to the family members for the last rites. Police further stated that the deceased was divorced and had no children. (Correspondent)
