Special POSCO court, Zunheboto Friday sentenced a 71-year-old man to 20 years rigorous imprisonment for sexually assaulting a minor girl in 2018.
On December 14, 2021, the court had held the accused Iheshe Yeptho guilty and convicted for committing offences punishable u/s. 4 (2) of the POCSO Act, 2012 and Section 376 (3) of the IPC, 1860.
In an order, the special POCSO judge Zunheboto Ajongba Imchen also directed the convict to pay a fine of Rs. 10,000, and in default to undergo imprisonment for six months for the offence under section 4 (2) of POCSO Act.
