District & Session Judge Pfutsero Neiko Akami through an order dated April 30, 2024 sentenced on Kelelo Mero to life imprisonment after he was found guilty of murdering his mother with a dao at Riku Colony Pfutsero on August 8,2022. The accused was charged under section 302 IPC. According to PP Phek, Samuel Ritse, the court rejected the plea of the accused that he committed the murder on ground of insanity. The court also recommended Rs.2 lakh to be paid to the youngest son of the deceased.
