Mangkolemba SDPDB meeting focuses on infrastructure

The monthly Mangkolemba Sub -Divisional Planning and Development Board (SDPDB) meeting was held at the customary court in Mangkolemba, Mokokchung. The meeting was chaired by minister Tourism and Higher Education, Temjen Imna Along, with vice chairman Moakumzuk Tzudir and ADC Mangkolemba, along with the District Planning Officer of Mokokchung, in attendance.
Temjen Imna expressed optimism about ongoing road improvement projects, including the Longnak, Tsurangkong, and Jangpetkong roads, stressing their importance for regional development. He also highlighted the challenges faced by the subdivisions, urging government officials to be more sincere and accessible to the public while calling for collaborative efforts from all stakeholders.
Key agenda items discussed during the meeting included: Upgrading CHC Mangkolemba to an empanelled hospital under the CMHIS framework; transferring MGNREGA bank accounts for villages from Mokokchung headquarters to Mangkolemba subdivision; establishing urban sub-stations in Alongkima and Longnak towns; relocating a school from Puneboto village to Mithite village; constructing a market complex and setting up a town council office in Mangkolemba; improving road conditions in Longchem circle and building a border guest house in Akumen village.
The assembly approved the proposals for government consideration. Meanwhile, the Social Welfare, Rural Development, and Education Departments presented reports on their activities and achievements through a PowerPoint presentation.
