A new Maruti Suzuki Authorized Service Centre was inaugurated on wednesday at 6th Mile, Sovima Village. The program was graced by special guest Sovima village council chairman, Sebastian Zumvü, who lauded the establishment as a significant step toward development in the area.
Speaking at the programme, Zumvü expressed appreciation for the launch of the service centre, calling it a “privilege” for the village to host such a facility. However, he also voiced concern over the current socio-economic dynamics, noting that non-local entrepreneurs continue to flourish while local youth face a lack of opportunities. “If non-locals can thrive, why can’t our own Nagas do the same?” he asked, urging the younger generation to emulate their success and actively participate in entrepreneurial ventures. He expressed hope that the newly opened centre would generate employment and business opportunities for the local Naga population. Zumvü emphasized that the centre should focus not only on sales but also on delivering high-quality after-sales service, stating, “Service speaks volumes.”
The event also featured CEO Ketho Seyie, who shared insights and a brief history of the service centre’s journey. The program was graced by Regional Service Manager Navneet Kumar, along with village elders, and well-wishers.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Wapangienla, a dedication prayer by Faith Harvest Church, Dimapur campus, pastor, Koheni Arücho, a song was performed by Akai, vote of thanks by Dealer, principal, Seyie Auto, Kuolachalie Seyie, and benediction by Sakhoto Seyie.
