In view of the ensuing Republic Day celebration, a mass social work was conducted on January 23 at Mon town. The overall work was monitored by the district administration headed by the deputy commissioner, Mon W. Honje Konyak.
According to DIPR report, work distribution was done ward wise with mass participation of people from all walks of life. The DC along with officers also inspected places which needs immediate attention for improvement and expansion of roads.
NGOs, GBs & DBs, ward leaders, government officials and educational institutions were also involved and monitored the mass social work in their respective jurisdiction. Two government officers each were also deployed in all wards of the town to supervisor the work.
