Matruprem, safe delivery home stay for pregnant women was inaugurated at Kiphire district by DC, Kiphire, Shayung Phom on May 28.
According to DIPR report, ADC, Kiphire, Wilfred Reny in his short speech stated that the main objective of this home stay was to assist the pregnant women, especially living in villages and also staying far away from Kiphire town.
He stressed that due to bad road connectivity and transportation problems most of the pregnant women are not able to reach the district hospital on time. In order to overcome all these problems, ADC appealed to the district administration and district hospital Kiphire to have coordination.
In the safe home, ADC added that proper facilities will be available to the expectant and that free accommodation for one family, cooking facility and medical care support will be offered during the stay. ADC pointed out that the maternal and neonatal deaths can be tackled more effectively.
