MBRS receives UNESCO Skill Bharat Samman 5.0 award

MUMBAI, FEB 3 (DIMAPUR)

Miles Bronson Residential School (MBRS) has been conferred with the prestigious UNESCO Skill Bharat Samman 5.0 Award for its sustained contribution to skill education and life-skills development among students. The award was presented to Dr Nripen Kumar Dutta, founder and principal of MBRS, held on January 31 at the Jio World Convention Centre, Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai.
The honour was presented by Chairman of the U.S. National Commission for UNESCO Clubs and Executive Director of the UNESCO Center for Peace, Guy Djoken, and Secretary General of UNESCO Federation USA and President of the World Genesis Foundation Heather Anderson. The event was attended President of the Skill Bharat Association by Dr Seema Negi; Chief Advisor of the association Lt Gen (Retd) Surendra Kulkarni and founder of OLL, the official sponsor of the Skill Bharat Samman Shreyaan Daga.
The award recognises MBRS’s pioneering initiatives in skill education since its inception, including the establishment of a Skill Development Centre nearly two decades ago. The school has consistently integrated soft skills such as communication, leadership, professional grooming and cultural competence with emerging hard skills in technology, artificial intelligence, data analytics, finance and operations, in alignment with NEP and CBSE guidelines.
Skill education forms an integral part of the daily curriculum across all classes at MBRS, with a wide range of CBSE skill subjects offered at the middle, secondary and senior secondary levels.
Recently, the school hosted the CBSE Skill Expo and Guidance Festival 2025–26 on the theme Local to Global, focusing on future technologies, health and wellness, hospitality and tourism, and sustainability.
The recognition reinforces MBRS’s position as a leader in holistic and future-ready education.
