Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) has demanded thorough investigation and urged the authority to provide clarity on the recent seizure of illicit liquor in Mokokchung.
Citing reports, MCCI said as per police statement, three individuals including the owner of the illicit consignment and truck driver were arrested. However, reports suggested that the owner of the truck may also be implicated, even though his name was not mentioned in the initial police report.
MCCI said Mokokchung District Truck Owners Association had reportedly demanded that action be taken against the owner of the truck, raising questions over his possible involvement.
MCCI, therefore, urged the concern authorities to consider the issues raised by MDTOA and conduct a thorough probe and clarify all aspects of the case so that justice prevails and the case was brought to a logical conclusion.
