MCH outreach camp at Kijumetouma village

Office of Chief Medical Officer, Kohima along with District Health Society, Department of Health & Family Welfare, NHM conducted Maternal & Child Health (MCH) Outreach Camp at Kijumetouma village HWC-SC under Jakhama block, on September 17.
A press release by CMO Office Kohima, informed that addressing the gathering, Dy CMO Dr. Imchatoshi, urged all to avail the services as the camp mainly focused on Mother and Child health, to stay healthy life style, and to practice for better health seeking behaviour.
He further reminded the responsibilities of bringing about health awareness to uplift health of society in general and for contribution of individual in particular.
DPO (RMNCAH+N) Dr. Khrievilhou Nakhro, citing about target group where children and pregnant mothers are given priority, on the need for community participation in bringing about sustainable health care services.
He also reminded about Pediatrician for child health, Gynaecologist for maternal health, RBSK team for school going/drop-out children, MMU team for general ailments services.
The release added that gifts & nutritional packages were distributed to fully immunized children, ASHA & Pregnant Mothers. Altogether, 62 villagers availed health services at MCH camp.
