MCWB demands action on sex trafficking

DIMAPUR

Mission Compound Welfare Board (MCWB) has expressed shock over the recent event wherein Kohima police busted sex trafficking network and arrested a group of people.
In a press release, MCWB strongly condemned the activity that was earlier unknown in Naga society. The board has urged the law enforcing agency to book and expose the “racketeers” involved in human trafficking and sex exploitation network.
The board also lauded the swift action of the police department and appealed to every individual and body to condemn such illegal and unwanted activity.
Meanwhile, MCWB has clarified that the main accused Rakesh Bromo, from Hauragarh village, Karbi Anglong, was not a resident from Mission Compound as stated. The board has requested the responsible authority to carefully ascertain facts while giving out information and details to the public.
