MDTWTA resolves uniform, helmet mandate

MOKOKCHUNG, SEP 5 (NPN): Mokokchung District Two-Wheeler Taxi Association (MDTWTA), at its general meeting held on September 5, 2026, resolved to make the wearing of uniforms and helmets compulsory for all two-wheeler taxi riders. The decision was taken to promote discipline, professionalism and safety among riders while ensuring better service to the public.
The meeting, held at the residence of the treasurer, was attended by permit holders and riders of the association. Addressing the gathering, treasurer I. Yanger Lemtur exhorted members to strictly abide by the constitution of the association and discharge their duties with dignity, integrity and responsibility towards the public. Office bearers for the 2026–2028 tenure were also nominated during the meeting. The association reiterated its commitment to maintaining discipline among members and providing safe, responsible and dignified transportation services to the people of Mokokchung.
