Medanta to hold medical camp in Kohima

DIMAPUR

Medanta – The Medicity, a Gurgaon-based multi-speciality hospital, will organise a free three-day medical camp in Kohima from June 25 to 27, 2025 in collaboration with the Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN), Directorate of Industries and Commerce, and Nagaland Police.
In a press release, Medanta informed that the medical camp aims to provide accessible and quality healthcare to underserved populations and support the government’s healthcare initiatives under the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS). Medanta recently signed an MoU with the Nagaland government for its CMHIS accreditation.
Chairman and Managing Director of Medanta, Dr Naresh Trehan, stated that the initiative is part of the hospital’s mission to make advanced healthcare accessible across India, especially in regions with limited specialist care. He said Medanta believes “quality healthcare should be a right, not a privilege.” Advisor to chief minister and chair of IDAN, Abu Metha, appreciated the partnership and said it had already helped many patients access high-quality treatment under CMHIS.
The three-day camp will begin each day at 10 a.m. at the following locations: June 25- IDAN, Capital Convention Centre, Kohima for employees of IDAN, Nagaland Olympic Association, and sports confederations. Nagaland Legislative Assembly Speaker, Sharingain Longkumer, will attend as chief guest.
