Residents of Medical Ward zone 1 and 2 Colony, Kiphire have started repairing the road leading to the ward on July 22 with their own funds.
Secretary of the colony informed that the soiling has been initiated by the residents as the road was neglected despite several appeal for repair.
The secretary said though the road connects Government Middle School Medical Ward, Hindi College, Civil Hospital Morgue and Hydro Power Station, the government does not give any importance to repair the road.
