Medziphema Battalion of Assam Rifles, under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N), conducted a pre-recruitment coaching and training program from December 20 to January 30, in Medziphema.
A press release from, Medziphema Battalion of Assam Rifles stated that the initiative was undertaken to channelize the potential of youth into a career for serving the country by joining the Armed Forces. The comprehensive training schedule focused on a two pronged approach of physical conditioning of trainees and written examination aspects.
The training was structured keeping in mind the syllabus and standards required by the Army and other Security Forces, including Assam Rifles and other central armed paramilitary forces.
Altogether, 34 local youth were trained for a duration of six weeks.
