Meetings held over final E-roll

Meetings on final electoral roll was held in various districts in the state where the final electoral roll was distributed to all political parties with reference January 1 as qualifying date and in accordance with registration of electors rules, 1960.

Kohima: In connection with the final publication of photo electoral roll pertaining to special summary revision, a meeting was held on January 15 at DC conference hall, Kohima.
According to DIPR report, while handing over copies of the final roll (both hard and soft copes) to representatives of recognised political parties, DC and DEO Kohima, Muhammed Ali Shihab A thanked the electoral registration team and political parties for their hard work and participation.
ADC and ERO Kohima, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa informed that the list of amendments to the draft electoral roll for 8 western Angami, 9 – Kohima Town, 10 Northern Angami- I, 11 – Northern Angami – II, 12 Tseminyu, 14 Southern Angami- I and 15 Southern Angami- II assembly constituencies. 
She stated that a copy of the roll together with the amendments has been published and will be available for inspection at DC office Kohima and booth level officer.
Tuensang: Final publication of electoral roll programme was held at DC conference hall Tuensang under the chairmanship of ADC & ERO Tuensang, Ajit Kumar Verma.
The final electoral roll was distributed to all political parties under Tuensang, final publication consist of 51 A/C Noksen, 52 A/C Longkhim-Chari, 53 A/CD Tuensang sadar-1, 54 A/C TuensangSadar-II and 58 A/C Shamator-Chessore.
Noklak: Meeting with political parties in relation with the publication of final electoral roll in respect of 56th and 57th ACs held at the office chamber of SDO (C) and ERO, Noklak, C Phuniang. ERO reminded political party leaders that the basic cause for conduct of clean election depends on the health of the e-roll.
Later, the meeting ended with handing over the final e-roll to various political parties by SDO (civil) and ERO Noklak.
