Meetings with political parties for draft electoral roll

In connection with the ongoing special summary revision of photo electoral roll January 1, 2020 as the qualifying date, the draft publication programme was held on December 16 in various districts. 

Kiphire: A meeting with political parties was convened at the office chamber of deputy commissioner (DC) & district election officer (DEO) Kiphire on December 16 for the publication of draft electoral roll w.r.t 01/01/2019 as the qualifying date. The meeting was chaired by DC & DEO Kiphire, Sarita Yadav. 
During the meeting, assistant election officer (AEO) Kiphire, Olivi Thurr  requested the stake holders to appoint BLAs and co-operate with the administration and election department to achieve 100% error-free electoral roll.
The meeting was attended by political parties, administration and Election department staffs. The draft electoral roll (both hard copy and soft copy) were handed over to the political parties after the meeting. (Correspondent)
Kohima: In Kohima, meeting was held at DC conference hall, Kohima. According to DIPR report, handing over the draft publication of electoral roll to the recognized political parties, DC Kohima Gregory Thejawelie said that the new initiatives have been undertaken over the years to have a robust, refined and updated eroll. He requested the political parties to give their sincere efforts and services so that the left out voters would also be enrolled in the eRoll.
Mon: In Mon, Hiazu Meru, additional deputy commissioner & electoral registration officer, Mon, Nagaland has notified on publication of electoral roll in draft for 41-Tizit AC, 42-Wakching AC, 43-Tapi AC, 44-Phomching AC, 45-Tehok AC, 46-Mon Town AC, 47- Aboi AC, 48- Mika AC & 55- Tobu AC that the electoral roll has been prepared in accordance with the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960 and a copy thereof is available for inspection in his office, and at the office of AEROs, VRECs and Election Office, Mon during office hours. If, with reference to the above said qualifying date, there be any claim for the inclusion of a name in the roll or any objection to the inclusion of name or any objection to particulars in any entry, it should be lodged on or before the January 15, 2020 in Form 6, 7 or 8 as may be appropriate. Every such claim or objection should either be presented in his office or to the AEROs and BLOs or sent by post to the address to reach not later than the aforesaid date.
Tuensang: Draft publication of electoral roll for Tuensang was conducted at DC conference hall Tuensang, chaired by ADC Tuensang Ajit Kumar Verma which was attended by political parties of the district.
