Mega health camp conducted at Nagaland Civil Secretariat

DIMAPUR

In a significant step toward improving healthcare accessibility, Tikvah Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., in collaboration with Amrita Hospital, Faridabad, and with support from the Home Department, Government of Nagaland, organized a Mega Health Camp at the Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima.
The initiative aimed to provide top-tier medical consultations and diagnostics to government officials and staff, eliminating the need for travel outside the state for specialized care.
The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 300 individuals. Senior doctors from Amrita Hospital offered free super-specialty consultations, while diagnostic services included: 140 Ultrasound (USG) scans; 220 Bone Mineral Density (BMD) tests; 110 Routine blood tests; 70 Biothesiometry screenings; 60 Electrocardiograms (ECG).
Diagnostic support was provided by the Radio Diagnostic Centre at District Hospital Dimapur, Fourrts, and Dr. Lal Path Labs.
Two major health concerns emerged during the screenings were Fatty Liver Prevalence: 70–80% of participants showed moderate to severe fatty liver.
Consultant Liver Transplant Surgeon, Dr. Madhur, attributed this to sedentary lifestyles and recommended regular exercise, improved diet, and hydration.
Bone Health Issues: 60% of individuals aged 40+ exhibited signs of osteopenia.
Consultant Orthopedician, Dr. Pritish, emphasized the need for calcium supplements and daily physical activity, especially for women approaching menopause.
Tikvah Healthcare reaffirmed its commitment to affordable and accessible healthcare. Since launching its Radio Diagnostic Centre at District Hospital Dimapur on September 2, 2024, the facility has served over 35,000 patients and helped save more than Rs. 35 lakh in medical costs. Services are offered at up to 42% lower rates than private hospitals and include 24/7 access to CT scans, ultrasounds, and X-rays.
The camp commenced with an invocation prayer led by the associate pastor of City Church. Tikvah Healthcare extended heartfelt thanks to the Home Commissioner and the Home Department for their logistical support and use of the Secretariat premises.
Speaking at the event, the Director of Tikvah Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. remarked, “This is more than just a health camp, it’s part of a larger mission to ensure that people in Nagaland have access to world-class healthcare without barriers of cost or distance.”
The camp concluded on a high note, with hundreds benefitting from timely diagnoses and expert medical advice.
